The Two Keys to Successful Niche Marketing

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

Selling a product within a specific market niche can be a financially rewarding exercise. Niche marketing is on the rise, as savvy marketers recognize the lucrative opportunity presented by smaller, underserved markets. However, in order to successfully exploit its power, one must possess and understand the two keys to successful niche marketing. Finding the Right Niche With all the marketing hype online, it's easy to convince yourself that any niche can be a massive financial winner if targeted. However, this is not true. It is essential to find and isolate particular niches, but you must also be able to "read" them, in order to determine whether or not there is really a strong likelihood that they can be successfully penetrated and exploited. This requires an understanding of the niche, its demographics and tendencies. For many marketers, this effort is simply too time-consuming and complicated to undertake. Fortunately, services like Easy Niche Products can do the work for the marketer. Easy Niche Product produces ebooks designed for sale within specific niches. They choose the niches they tackle, carefully, first assessing its all aspect of its profit potential. Finding the Right Project Simply knowing there is a niche "ripe for the picking" isn't enough. One must have something to sell to those occupying the niche. This requires creation of a product specifically oriented to appeal to a niche's population. One of the quickest and efficient means to profiting within a particular market niche is via ebook sales. A marketer simply needs their well-honed sales skills and a quality ebook to sell. Ebook creation, however, may not be a perfect fit for many marketers. Writing an ebook requires writing skills, a knowledge of the subject matter and the preferences of the niche population, and a great deal of time and energy. May splendid marketers may not take advantage of the great opportunity provided by niche markets because of those conces. Instead, they should consider purchasing a subscription to Easy Niche Products, which will provide them with the custom ebooks and supporting materials they need to successfully make their mark in the niche. Easy Niche product, located at www.easynicheproduct.com, provides full product packages specifically designed for maximum effectiveness within a niche. Niche market sales offer tremendous possible rewards to those able to find the right target areas and to supply the right materials. A quality marketer can then take those products and present them to the niche, knowing that his or her marketing skills will determine the endeavor's success. Reports from Easy Niche Product subscribers are universally supportive of the program's ability to arm marketers with all the resources they need to successfully encounter lucrative niches.

Internet Buying Safety

Despite the many conces, some now argue that it is actually safer to buy online than buying over the phone or handing your credit card over to someone in a shop. This is because if the online payment is handled properly, your banking details will be "encrypted", which means they cannot be viewed by anyone other than those handling the transaction - usually the banks. If you're still unsure, Card Watch, a banking group that works with the police and retailers to stop credit card fraud, offer the following "top ten tips" when buying online: 1. Make sure your web-browser (that's the software that you use to view websites, most commonly Inteet Explorer or Netscape) is set to the highest level of security notification and monitoring. These options are not always automatically activated when your computer is set-up, so check your manual or the "Help" option. 2. Check that you are using a recent version of your web-browser, as they often include better security features. Up to date versions can be downloaded free from the Microsoft or Netscape websites. If you have a different browser or use on-line services such as AOL or CompuServe, contact your ISP (Inteet Service Provider) or software supplier to find out how to activate their security features. 3. Before purchasing from a website, make a record of the retailer's contact details, including a street address and landline phone number. If these details are not available on the website, consider going elsewhere to buy. Do not rely on the e-mail address alone. 4. Do not enter personal details unless the security icon is displayed (this is a small padlock that normally appears at the bottom of your browser when you begin your transaction over the inteet). You can click on the padlock to see if the retailer has an encryption certificate. This should explain the type and extent of security and encryption it uses. Only use companies that have an encryption certificate and use secure transaction technology. The address of the page where you enter personal details should also start https://. 5. If you have and queries or conces, telephone the company before giving them your card details to reassure yourself that it is legitimate. 6. Print out your order and consider keeping copies of the retailer's terms and conditions and retu policy. Be aware that there may well be additional charges such as postage and shipping. When buying from overseas, always err on the side of caution and remember that it may be difficult to seek redress if problems arise. 7. Check statements from your bank or card issuer carefully as soon as you receive them. Raise any discrepancies with the retailer conceed in the first instance. If you find any transaction on your statement that you are certain you did not make, contact your card issuer immediately. 8. Ensure that you are fully aware of any payment commitments your are entering into, including whether you are instructing a single payment, or a series of payments. 9. Never disclose your card's PIN number to anyone, inlcluding people claiming to be from your bank or the police, and never write it down or send it over the inteet. 10. If you have any doubts about using your card, find another method of payment. For products to help keep you safe, visit Urban Safety Supplies. Internet Effectiveness

It's now the year 2006. The inteet as we know it has been around for about 15 years. It's not new any more, but maturing, changing. It's no longer a question of whether people use the inteet, but rather how they use it. For businesses the question is: how do my employees, my suppliers, my existing and potential customers, and my community use the inteet, and how can I use the inteet to make life easier and more rewarding for them and as a result grow my business? Answering this question properly will bring good fortune. This question itself is not even new. Replace the word "inteet" with telephone, or automobile, or mail or television, check, credit cards, money, or even time, and you get a question whose answers have set the path for many a company's fortunes over the years. Answer the question correctly, pursue the answer and the consumer will bring you very good fortune indeed. What does today's inteet user look like? For a glimpse at some trends, consider a recent opinion survey conducted by eMarketer of US Inteet Retailers listing the following to be the top reasons for the continued explosive growth of online shopping: 1. The continued growth in demand for time-saving convenient services by all consumers (38.2%) 2. The greater acceptance of and familiarity with the inteet by today's adult (33.6%) 3. The maturation and growing buying power of today's web-savvy teens and young adults. (25.2%) 4. A growing dissatisfaction with shopping in stores (3.1%) According to these results, we are as a whole all looking to save time, increasingly familiar with and comfortable with the inteet, and the generation coming up even more so. That could help explain why online sales rose over 25% in 2005 or roughly nearly 4 times the growth in offline sales over the previous year. How do we here in Catawba County use the inteet to make life easier and rewarding for our customers, employees, and suppliers wherever they may be and therefore bring more success to our own businesses and community? 1. Realize the inteet is the most instant and far-reaching medium in existence. China has over 100 million inteet users already and is projected to surpass the US in usage within the next 5 years. Not impressed? How about in our own neighborhood? More people in our country today use the inteet to search for products and services, and even phone numbers than the telephone books themselves. Able to be much more up-to-date than traditional print media, it has gained the confidence and accessibility to provide greater time savings and convenience. 2. Know how to present your products and services attractively and efficiently on the inteet. First impressions last, and those first impressions happen quickly indeed. A recent Canadian study revealed that the brain can and does make flash judgments almost as quickly as the eye can take it in which tus out to be around 1/20th of a second to form an impression of a website. The study went on to discuss how these first impressions created either a positive or negative feeling that carried over into implied confidence or avoidance of the message that they then may take the time to comprehend. Good first impressions created trust, and a tendency to use that site to confirm their decision whereas the opposite was also true. Of course the site must then follow through with utility and avoid frustrating the user at any point, or they can leave quicker then they entered. 3. Just the creation and presentation of a website will not guarantee success. Advertisers in the US and Canada spent $5.75 billion on Search Engine Marketing in 2005 which was up 44 percent over 2004. The efficiency of being able to focus on a specific niche, measure real-time results and make instant adjustments in your marketing strategies is paying huge dividends to savvy advertisers in all industries. We can continue to increase our share of the global marketplace here in Catawba County by more effectively using one of the most incredible developments in communications and interaction the world has ever seen. It is no longer prudent to wait until the inteet comes into its own. The day has already arrived, and the world is increasingly buying from those who are there making their lives easier.

Seven Guaranteed Ways to Increase Your Online Sales

Sunday, June 28, 2009

So, you want to increase your online sales and land your business to the peak of success? Then, employ the best marketing strategies to make your dreams a reality. Today, having a successful online business is just as important as any kind of business available in the market today. It also requires a lot of knowledge, perseverance, and determination coming from business owners like you in order to succeed online. With online business, success can be measured through sales. Whether you have increasing or decreasing sales, still, it is the most important variable that should be taken with utmost attention and consideration. This only means that if your online sales are increasing, good for you. But if your online sales are on the other way around, then, you really have to do something about it. Taking your online sales for granted will mean the end of your online business. This is because the minute you did not analyze the status of your online sales, you will never know if you are still making any profit. If in the event your online sales suddenly made a downfall, try to investigate the matter and look for any reasons why it happened. Nevertheless, if you really want to increase your online sales, whether it is continuously escalating or not, here are seven practical and guaranteed ways to increase your online sales: 1. Convert your visitors to customers by encouraging them to some impulse buying activities. You can increase your online sales by converting your visitors into customers. You need to entice them that what they have seen on your site is not just a want but also a need and that they really have to buy them now or they will miss the chance of having it. You can start by recommending or suggesting some related products. There are instances wherein your customers may not have thought of buying the product or have forgotten to purchase, but after you have suggested them through your ads, they instantly decide on purchasing it. You can also create a buy now phenomenon by advertising some limited offers on your site. Having a countdown on an item will entice them to make an immediate purchase. 2. Make good impressions. It is relatively important to have creative designs on your web site so that it will be worth bookmarking. In order to make your customers bookmark your site, your site should be able to suffice the generally necessitated information of your would-be customers. Keep in mind that people who are online are most likely those who need some pertinent information, and if they see that your site can be useful, they will take note of it. So, try to make use of freebies, useful articles, eBooks, ezines, etc. 3. Recommend some online-only exclusives Usually, people who use the Inteet are just browsing for some information on different web sites. With regards to sales, most people would normally browse the Inteet to know something about the product they wish to buy and to know the current amount of the product in the market. After obtaining the needed information, they would leave the site and go on buying the product from their local store. Hence, it would be better if you will promote an offer that your customer can only avail on your site. You can also tell them that they will be getting some freebies like free eBook once they decide to purchase your product at once. 4. Provide some complete product information and some colorful and clear photographs of your products. Like what the consumers would usually do when shopping in their local department store, online buyers would also love to see what they are buying. Moreover, they want to know more information regarding the product and the benefits they can derive from purchasing it. Hence, it would be better to provide some detailed information and clear pictures of your product. 5. Make registration and sign-ups easy. There are instances wherein buyers are really enticed to buy your product but the minute they realize how hard it is just to sign-up, chances are, they would drop the subject and browse to other sites. Hence, it is important to make the registration process as easy as 1-2-3. 6. Gain some trusts Because the Inteet is such a wild place and fraudulent activities are just about anywhere, it would be better to provide some privacy statements or trust certificates that would suggest to your customers that you could be trusted. It is important to let your customers know that any transactions they will have with you are safe and that you will never use their information to any other purposes. 7. Use the mailing list One of the best and guaranteed ways to increase your online sales is to use mailing lists. These mailing lists provide you with email addresses of your customers. These are important tools in order to get hold of your customers contact information so that you can send them some promotions about your new product. Indeed, with all these things in your web site, you can surely expect notable increases on your online sales the next time you evaluate your online business.

Rss To Blog Pro A 6 Month Review

Background Search engines are particularly interested in websites with constantly updated, relevant content. Websites that appear static without a supply of fresh content may be viewed as dormant and in their drive to provide the latest, most relevant search results to users, search engines may rank such a website lower than a website that is updated regularly. What Is It? RSS to Blog Pro is a fully automated blog posting tool offering self-updating websites. It's a PHP script that is installed on a single web hosting account. From this centralised installation, multiple blogs can be maintained with fresh content from various sources. Also available is an earlier, non-pro version, which has the same basic functionality, but requires a separate install for each blog it maintains. What Problem Does It Solve? Adding fresh - and importantly, relevant - content to websites can be a resource consuming task. Either you spend time finding and creating new content or you pay someone to do it for you. Without fresh content, your websites can appear stagnant and drop off the search engines radar. This impacts your website rankings in search results and ultimately has a detrimental effect on any free traffic coming from the search engines. If your websites rely on search engine traffic then this can mean their downfall. What Are The Benefits? RSS to Blog Pro tackles the problem of needing to regularly update website content by automating the whole process from finding relevant content based upon keywords that you provide through to posting content to your website blog. In the eyes of search engines, updating a website with irrelevant content isn't nearly as good as having relevant content. The tighter your niche, the better chances you have of ranking higher as you'll be competing with a smaller number of websites. Using a scattergun approach to website content can mean you end up competing with websites across a large number of niches. If you're building content websites with the aim of eaing an AdSense income then you'll know that the ads shown are dependant upon the surrounding content on your webpages. Irrelevant content results in ads that are irrelevant to your website visitors, which means they'll have no interest in clicking on them and your generated income will be poor. Features * Supports multiple blog types including WordPress, Blogger Blogs, Movable Type, Type Pad, Live Joual and MSN Spaces. * Keywords and RSS feeds can be specified for automatic content generation or you can supply your own content. * Posting to your blogs can be scheduled at random intervals e.g. once or twice a day so that posting appears natural. * There are no 'footprints' to identify the content as being automatically generated. * Log records are kept so you can see exactly what has been posted and to where. * Built-in ping functionality for blog and ping. * A single installation will post to an unlimited number of blogs. * Regular updates. * User support forum. * Two tier affiliate programme offering 40% commission to the top level and 10% for any sales from affiliates you recruit. My Experience With RSS to Blog Pro Since August 2005, I've been using RSS to Blog Pro on an increasing number of blogs in various niches. I'm pleased to be able to say that my income from AdSense has increased month upon month since then. With the software installed on my virtual private server (VPS), I currently manage around 50 blogs, posting relevant new content every day or two. I'd recommend that you don't install RSS to Blog Pro onto a shared server because if you're updating a large number of websites or you're running the script frequently (every couple of minutes) then your host is likely to take a dim view on it. Considering how inexpensive and how much more reliable a VPS is to operate there just isn't any reasonable justification for risking a shared server. A VPS is like having your own server, completely isolated from any other peoples websites so you can't affect them and they can't affect you. There is the exception of disk IO, but that isn't something that should be of any real conce. The issue of relevancy is really what makes the difference between an effective auto content generation tool and one that will never do anything for your bottom line. I can't stress it enough; without relevant content, search engines won't be able to categorise your niche and won't be able to rank you fairly amongst your peers. That means you won't do well in searches in your subject area. It also could mean your website will serve ads for tennis equipment when your niche is dog care. Visitors looking for information about dog care are highly unlikely to be interested in tennis equipment when they come to your website because it's not something which is relevant to their needs at that time. There's no doubt that this helps to keep those websites looking fresh and my website stats show a constant stream of visits to my blog pages each month. And of course, lots of targetted visitors and lots of targetted content means a lot of clicks on targetted ads! Support-wise, Michelle (creator of RSS to Blog Pro) has answered my email queries promptly and there's an active user forum for peer support. Michelle also visits the forum to provide assistance although some queries can take a couple of days for a response, however the user base, support forum and software is mature enough to be able to cope with almost every common question a new user might have. Fortunately, the software is easy to install and set-up so you can expect to be running within an hour or two. One feature that I haven't used is the ability to ping blog directories from within RSS to Blog Pro. The reason for this is that if I pinged these websites for every post made to each of my blogs then I'd actually end up pinging up to 50 times a day from the same domain (the domain on which RSS to Blog Pro is installed). Rather than risk being blacklisted for pinging too much and hogging the resources of the directories, I use the ping facility from with my WordPress blog software instead so that the individual pings come from the individual domains. Again, this will appear to be a lot more natural and it also helps RSS to Blog Pro to work more efficiently by decoupling some of the work away from it. Conclusion After 6 months of constant usage, I'm pretty happy with RSS to Blog Pro's performance. and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is wanting to have self-updating websites that attract targetted traffic. Care needs to be taken when selecting a host for the script, but once installed, operation of the script is simple and reliable. An excellent script in the toolbox of AdSense eaers and affiliate marketers alike.

The Blind Men and the Elegant Algorithm

Saturday, June 27, 2009

Everyone talks about algorithms, and like the weather, no one gets it right and nobody can do anything about it. An algorithm is a recursive computational procedure for solving a problem in a finite number of steps. Highly sophisticated, complex algorithms are the heart of all search engine technology. Google's algorithm is reputedly only 100 steps. No one outside (and few inside) Google know exactly what those steps are, how they are implemented or any of the thousand and one little details that goes into their execution. The possibilities are infinite. It is a closely guarded secret and the secret of Google's success. Google is not about to reveal itself but they do provide brief glimpses; hints and guidelines but no hard and fast rules. Everyone tries to disce the whole from the sum of the few meager parts. I recently heard someone describe Google's deep, dark secret as an 'elegant algorithm'. Misunderstanding what I heard, it called to mind an ancient easte religious fable (and latter day poem by John Godfrey Saxe:The Blind Men and the Elephant). Six blind men are presented with an elephant and asked to describe it. In their vain attempts to describe what they see, each blind man compares the elephant to something else (a wall, a spear, a snake, a tree, a fan, a rope) because each one assumes the whole elephant is like the part he experienced. Not seeing the whole, the individual parts bear little resemblance to the actual elephant. Though each blind man has it partly right, all are completely wrong! A few of the many morals of the thousand year old story: * It is easy to jump to conclusions based on limited experience and personal impressions. * Each perspective has part of, but not the whole truth. * Do not to assume you have the whole truth just because you know one part of it. It is all a matter of perspective. The next time you hear about Google's elephant, I mean, elegant algorithm, remember the blind men. Keep your eyes open though you may not know what you are seeing. If each of us sees some small part of the truth and we share our perspectives, we may come closer to seeing the truth, though we will never know the whole truth.

The New MSN Search Interface A Positive Transformation Or The Antithesis Of Change

Friday, June 26, 2009

Now that MSN search has changed its look and search results I thought I'd do a little digging into the new look to see what I could come up with. Overall I am impressed with the new look even if the current results aren't that spectacular. But is the new MSN really that much better? As you've already no doubt heard, MSN Search has changed their look. But there's more to this new look than meets the eye. I've always been apprehensive about using MSN Search. It's not because the results are generally less relevant than other engines (although that's always been part of the problem) but I've never really liked the search results. To me they were always too crowded and dark. But now that there's a new search interface I feel more inclined to use their search engine. Why, you may ask? For one thing, I could never really put my finger on what it was that bothered me about it until MSN changed the look. I think it was the blue bars that used to run across the top and bottom of the search results page. Now, instead of wide blue bars there are sleek silver-grey bars. Also, the top bar where the search box is became narrower. To me this makes the page seem less "closed in" and more visually appealing. I now feel as if I can trust the results more because they have more room. I've also noticed that MSN has been playing with the display of the titles. Before this change, they seemed to bold the entire title, as well as bolding terms which matched the search query in the snippet. Now, they still bold terms matching the query in the snippet but they also only bold the search term matches in the title. Additionally, the font used for both the title and snippet are smaller. These help to create a more visually appealing search result making it easier to spot the best match to what you are looking for. You see as humans, we like to take the easy way out. Most of us are "scan and click" search engine users. We scan the results hoping something will "jump out" at us. This is how Google became so popular - because they realized early on that we like visual cues to help guide us on the web. MSN tried this for a while - I found examples of it dating back to 2004, but most recently - even as recent as a few days ago - there was no bolding on matched terms. When you look at the sponsored results you will see even more differences. While looking at searches performed in Firefox, I thought I'd perform those same searches in Inteet Explorer. Here's where things got interesting. While the organic results were the same, some things caught my eye. First, the sponsored ads appear much smaller in Firefox than IE. The font size used to display the top and side sponsored ads is smaller than the organic results. In IE they are the same. Also, in Firefox I was seeing Yahoo! sponsored results, however in IE I was seeing Microsoft Sponsored results. That's right, I was seeing different sponsored results providers depending on the browser I was using. Even the layout of the sponsored ads was different. With Firefox and the Yahoo! ads, the top sponsored stretched across the page and the side sponsored started at the same line as the organic result, creating a fairly large blank spot in the upper right hand coer of the page. However on the IE browser with MSN ads, that blank space disappeared and the side sponsored ads moved up to be in line with the top sponsored results. It made the page look much more organized. I looked into the CSS and JavaScripts being executed on the page to see if perhaps they were doing some kind of browser detection before rendering the page but I didn't see anything other than some style modifications for IE on Mac. Of course, this is still early in the game for the new MSN look. I expect they will continue to tweak and refine it until it's just right. As a result, if you do try the same tests I did (with a side by side browser test) you may not see the same results. In the end I do have to say, results aside, the new look is more visually appealing and at least for me makes it easier to accept the results. I don't feel overwhelmed because of the previously small space available.

Keyword Lists Their Proper Care And Feeding

Thursday, June 25, 2009

One of your most important marketing assets is your Keyword List. But are you giving your Keyword List the attention it deserves? Is your Keyword List getting a little shaggy around the edges? Are your keywords becoming old and out of date? Is your Keyword List not behaving at its best, possibly due to neglect? To properly care for your Keyword List you need to understand its different needs and functions. We can divide the list into several broad categories. 1) Master Keyword List - this list has all the keywords that you can come up with for your particular need. All other lists are taken from this Master List. 2) Pay-Per-Click List - this is a subset of the Master List and will vary depending on how you are using PPC and which search engines you are buying positions in. 3) Tag List - this subset of the Master List helps you fill in those Meta Tag fields. Although many search engines are not currently paying much attention to Meta Tags, that could change at any time and the search engines will not let us know if or when they begin watching Meta Tags again. So the safe bet is to still keep these tags properly populated. 4) Web Site List - this is another subset of the Master List and is more targeted than the PPC list. This list also helps you write powerful content on your site. And don't forget to refer to this list when setting up the Alt tags for your images (you are using Alt tags aren't you?). 5) Email List - Are you using keywords in your email? You should be. Keywords are not only used to help people find your site in search engines, but they are words people are actively searching for. Your marketing should be addressing their needs, and your keyword list shows you what they are looking for. Just like creating copy on a web page, use the keyword list to target your email campaigns as well. So how do you go about creating the Master Keyword list? You first have to decide what you need from your keywords. Most likely you will have a product or service that will dictate the broad category for the list. As an example I will use Nikon Camera as my starting point. Maybe I have a site that specializes in information about Nikons, or I have a store that sells Nikon Cameras, or maybe I sell software that would complement a Nikon Camera. These questions and more will begin to focus your keyword search. Start by building a basic list using this approach, you don't need to capitalize, leave everything lowercase. nikon, nikon camera, nikon information, nikon sales, nikon software Put down the basic keywords that spring into your head when thinking about your subject. This does not need to be an exhaustive list, just a starting point. We now need to expand on this list by using tools freely available on the inteet. My personal favorite is on Overture.com in their Resource Center. They have a valuable little tool called the Keyword Selector Tool. This tool will give you a list of keyword searches on Overture over a one month period. Simply type in your keyword and hit the button. You will get a list of keywords including the keyword you typed in and the number of searches performed on the keyword. A search for "Nikon" came back with 100 keyword possibilities. Depending on your original keyword search you may have to clean this list up a bit before using it. For instance one of the keywords was "Nikon rifle scopes", not what I need so I will delete that one. I usually copy the information from this web page and paste it into an Excel spreadsheet where I can manipulate it as I like. Each month you may get a different set of keywords on Overture, so don't just do this one time and forget it. Keep on checking back to add more keywords to your list. Another valuable tool is over on Google. (ht tps://adwords.google.com/select/main?cmd=KeywordSandbox) You can also find this tool in the Tools section of Google Adwords. This is used like the Overture tool, simply type in your keyword and click on Get More Keywords. This search gave me 225 possible keywords, many of which I will clean out. A nice feature of the Adwords tool is that it allows you to download the list as a CSV file for use in Excel or another program. There are many other sources for keyword lists. A good place to start is on Search Engine Watch at http: //searchenginewatch.com/facts/article.php/2156041 Don't forget specialized sites like eBay. They have a banner ad program named eBay Keywords where you can find suggestions for keywords to use with banner ads on eBay. http://ebay.admarketplace.net< /A> And finally pay attention to the log files for your web site. You will have a list of searches people used to find your site. This is a very targeted list of keywords that were actually successful in driving traffic to your site. Now that you have a huge list of keywords you are ready to create your Master Keyword List. Place all these keywords into a spreadsheet and clean out the inappropriate keywords (like "Nikon Binoculars"). Then arrange in order from most relevant to least relevant. You need to weed this Master List down for your PPC campaign. You may find that the keywords near the top of your list are the most expensive and that the ones in the middle may have a better cost to sales ratio. But the more keywords you can use on PPC, the broader your exposure. The top 25 should work well for your Meta Tag list. Depending on your needs you may need to remove duplicate words. Try to limit any individual word to 5 uses or less (example: don't use "nikon" more than 5 times). The top 10 keywords are your sales words for your web site and email campaigns since these are the most tightly focused keywords in the list. Don't forget that the needs of your list will be changing as the market place shifts. Every month or so do a new search for keywords to keep your keyword list up to date. Trim out the words that are either no longer appropriate or effective. Be sure to keep an eye on your log files. Keep your sub-lists current. And give your Keyword List the care and attention it needs to live a long and active life. And finally, if only 4 people purchase some training off of my site due to the keywords in this article I can finally get that Nikon Camera that I have been wanting.

Using RSS To Increase Your Pagerank

Wednesday, June 24, 2009

There are millions of dollars and multiple hours spent every day trying to increase website traffic, by both ethical and unethical means. There is so much demand for traffic solutions that people will go to any lengths to get ranked higher in the search engines. But did you know that you could increase your traffic by about 20% right now, with virtually no effort? Most times when you hear something like this I suggest that you tu tail and run as it will normally lead to your site's ranking demise. This particular method of boosting traffic, however, is not a scam; it's not an unethical ploy; it is a genuine method of increasing traffic via a future inteet standard. The reason that you can increase your traffic so vastly is because you are getting in on the ground floor of a new technology which will revolutionize the inteet and the way that traffic is distributed. To understand what we're about to tell you, you need to understand what an RSS feed is. Put simply, it's a standard format for sharing your content instantly with users and other websites. People can quickly get access to 'teasers' for your latest newsletters, articles, blogs, content and more, and click through to see the full version. This method of distributing your information is very helpful because it basically generates dynamic newsletters without spamming and without causing your visitor any grief at all. In fact, many users find RSS to be their preferred way to hear about updates as RSS is so fast, user-friendly, and (most importantly) dynamic. RSS feeds are often used by news sites or blogs, as the content changes often enough to make it worth while. By using highly targeted RSS feeds, you can improve your site's web content without having to write it on your own - if someone offers you an RSS feed of their site, you can add it to your site easily. This provides you with a good content base which will keep visitors coming back. The more information that people associate your site with the more important they consider your site. The more important they consider your site, the more important search engines will consider your site. Providing RSS yourself will get lots of people to link to you and so potentially improve your search engine rankings. Why? 1. RSS feeds can provide good, relevant content for your website - there are plenty of RSS publishers with themed content for you to choose from. These highly-targeted feeds will often contain your keywords, and so increase the keyword relevancy of your website. This helps even more than you may think as the key words will be within link or "anchor" tags. Search engines value anchor tags almost as much (if not more than) header tags (h1-h6). 2. RSS feeds can provide new, fresh content. When new content is added to them, the old content drops off, making sure that your website's content doesn't go stale. Most of your visitors will not visit your site if they find that there is nothing new between the first and second time that they visit it. If you want to keep your visitors where they belong, you have to have a good selection of content that is updated on a regular basis. 3. RSS feeds can get search engines to crawl your site more frequently - daily in some cases. This helps your site to rank higher in the search engines, and gives you an advantage over your competition. Your RSS feed can do your SEO work for you. RSS feeds can be great for getting your newsletter, articles, or blog onto other people's sites, and that's very powerful, as long as you make sure that your RSS feed is adding more to your business than it takes. In some situations, you might find that including RSS on your page makes visitors click away from your site, as they find that site's content more interesting than you - and people who click on RSS links might be less likely to click on ads. Use caution with RSS feeds, or you could be in for a shock.

Using A Shotgun To Build An Empire

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

In my quest to become inteet savvy and to create an online income I came across this cool ebook that describes an overall business structure/strategy that would allow you the best chances of success. This is probably one of the best ways to create an empire through careful planning of your inteet venture. This method is slightly different from what I've been preached to but I like what I've been reading. It goes like this - if you want the best chances of success, you use a shotgun to hit your target. Let me explain. With a shotgun, there are many pellets in a shot and it sprays when it is fired. The concentration of pellets is closer to the centre and it thins out as it goes further away from centre. If we use the analogy that our product is the shotgun and the bulls eye is the target market, then the main area of damage of the pellets (or your efforts) will be the centre. You have to realize that not only will the centre area be hit and targeted but you will also hit some of the surrounding areas. What this means is that from your efforts of the shotgun approach you will have different levels of markets that will be interested in your product. They will range from intensely interested, interested, have a passing interest, to almost no interest whatsoever. For example if you were to have a French bread making product: - people that were visiting a French bread making site would be very targeted traffic and most likely intensely interested. They would be centre of the target - If you had traffic that was coming from just a normal break making site then they would probably have a healthy interest in your book as they are in the next level of the target - In the 3rd level out and further away from the middle of the target, the traffic may come from a cooking website. They may need some education about the joys and benefits of French bread as a compliment to different types of food and occasions. - The last area, also the furthest area away from the middle of the target includes the rest of the marketplace. These are people who are probably not interested in cooking or French bread at all. Now to get the best effect of this shotgun effect would be to add additional shotgun splatters so that the different target markets can get an overlap and therefore you can have cross promotion happening. Using the French bread making example, you could add continuation lines like French desserts, French soups, French roasts as shotgun splatters surrounding the original. Another offshoot to the original French bread making splatter could be Italian breads and its relevant extensions. Could you see how these could all interlink and your customer could be interested in your later products? I think the potential is endless and I could see how you could build an empire starting from a single product. Mark Choy

Tracking your Sales Organizations efforts for increased bottom line profits

Tracking your sales efforts goes much more beyond keeping good statistics on the amount of sales your team makes or the tracking the amount of prospects that call or visit your company. marketing result tracking is a succinct method, bordering a science, but a science that can be easily adopted into your organization. In fact, many organizations have built simple tracking methods through automated systems, eliminating 10's of hours of time, and resulting in simple to read reports. I am going to outline why successful organizations track all of their efforts as well as what we should be focused on tracking on a day to day basis. Marketing Result Tracking First, what is tracking? Tracking is the systematic process of record keeping and documenting every single action that a sales organization makes. As an example: Inbound telephone calls, outbound calls, calls from specific forms of advertising, calls from your yellow page ad, and visits to each page of your web site, how long each visitor stayed on your web site. The list goes on, as you now have a clear understanding of where I am going with this. You can break down the tracking into subcategories, a process that many automobile organizations have become very accustomed to doingas in prospects to walk-arounds, walk-arounds to test drives, etc. Now, there are several ways to implement a very simple yet effective tracking method, one that can be automated that will ultimately save you countless hours. For all of your advertising, this is the easy part. Simply subscribe to a number that attaches to your organizations primary hub telephone number. This way, you can simply identify every single call that comes in from the various advertising in order to see the effectiveness of each form of marketing that you have out on the market. This process itself, marketing result tracking, while being extremely simple to implement, will certainly give you a huge insight to all forms of advertising avenues that you currently invest in. You see, tracking is more than just keeping track of what is going on in your processes and advertisingit gives you the necessary insight immediately to act on unsuccessful campaigns and tells you where you should potentially invest in some of your more successful campaigns. In order to track your website effectively, you will have a ton of alteatives. Many will come directly from your web host, as many of the more aggressive hosts have now added sophisticated tracking tools in order to better server their clients. Simply go in to your Control Panel to see what is available, and for those of you that are not as technically inclined, believe me when I say thisno matter how savvy you are with a computer, you will certainly be able to view the tracking statistics from your web host. Now, for those web hosts that do not offer any form of website tracking, or tracking tools that too basic, there is a myriad of options for you. Simply visit http://www.breiterstrom.com/tools to get a great idea of some available options. For marketing result tracking, there are certainly some very sophisticated options, but if you are just getting into the mode of tracking, we suggest applying a simple tool (although many of the simple tools give you great tracking statistics). Now, what are some of the benefits of effective marketing result tracking? Well, let's say that you have a yellow page ad that you have had developed using all of the top strategies. It outlines in its headline a true benefit that your prospects are looking forblowing your competition away that are seated in the same section of the phone book. Now, you have spent x dollars on that ad, and at the end of the year it is time to review your advertising budget. You determine that you received 172 more calls from this yellow page ad over the course of the year than any other form of advertising, but you paid a fraction of the cost. You may decide at this point that it is worth it to increase the size of your ad for the coming year. While an extremely crude example above, it was meant to only be an example for marketing result tracking. There are several issues regarding marketing result tracking that need to be addressed effectively when determining where each and every dollar of advertising is spent. While this is certainly important, you will never be nearly as successful in allocating these dollars without a proper tracking process in place. When a well structured tracking system is implemented in coordination with a well formatted testing strategy, you are destined to have a tremendously more successful outcome. Having been in the marketing industry, engaging marketing result tracking and seeing how little attention to testing and tracking that most businesses adhere to, you can easily begin dominating your market in a relatively short period of time, leaving your competitors in the dust wondering what the heck just happened to the marketand why their phones are no longer ringing. Now, as far as tracking inteal events, wellfor the most part, you are at the mercy of your sales staff to give you good feedback. Many sales organizations have implemented CRM giving the company the opportunity to track the inteal sales process with more ease. I say the opportunity because our studies have shown that the best CRM is only as good as the feedback given by the sales staff and if the sales staff is not keen to giving feedback where it may not be in their best interests the organization ultimately ends up with skewed results. There are certainly answers to this issueanswers that you are welcome to explore at our home site of http://www.breiterstrom.com. Regardless of how much marketing result tracking your organization has done up to this point, we recommend that you immediately begin at least tracking the basics. One mistake companies make is that they think that it is all or nothing and this leads them to ultimately do nothing. Start something. Perhaps just with your outside advertising and your website traffic. In a short period of time you will be happy you didwith huge increases in bottom line profits. Mystery Shopping How To Get Paid For Something You Would Do For Free

Monday, June 22, 2009

Imagine if you were offered the opportunity to get paid to do something you love to do and always do for free. Shopping is fun for a lot of people and they wouldn't mine shopping everyday. For those who cannot afford to shop as often as they'd like usually window shop as an alteative. If you are this kind of person, could you imagine what it would be like to be able to walk into a store that has all the items you want and then purchase them without worrying about the cost? This is definitely possible. And it has become so common that a term has been coined for it. It's called mystery shopping. And the shopper is called a professional shopper or mystery shopper. Why would someone pay you for shopping for them? Well, it's generally not a person, but a company that wants you to shop for them. The purpose of this type of shopping is to give the company you are shopping for the information they need to make decisions about a variety of products and services they are interested in. An example would be The Target Stores trying to find out how certain products are selling, how nice was the sales personnel and whether or not the store was clean. These are some of the details that companies would ask you to gather as a mystery shopper. Mystery shopping is great for those who love shopping. The best thing about it is that you get paid to do something you love to do anyway. It's like getting paid for a hobby. So who are the people best suited for mystery shopping? Stay-at-home moms, students and anyone who wouldn't mine getting paid to go shopping and getting the stuff they bought. There are many categories of shopping available such as grocery stores, restaurants and supermarkets. Sometimes your task might be as simple as visiting a particular store to verify whether they stock certain merchandise at the time and place contracted. Other tasks include viewing the parking lot to see if there are shopping carts lying around or timing how long shoppers have to wait in line to be served. If you want to get involved in mystery shopping, there are several places that will provide you with the information you need to get started. Most of these places are located online in easily accessible databases. The databases generally list the companies, the task to be completed and how much they are paying for your service. If the initial income from mystery shopping is not sufficient you may also try your hand at paid online surveys. Unlike mystery shopping, paid surveys do not require you to leave your home ever and the pay is just as good if not better. From home on your computer you'd basically complete surveys and within weeks you'll receive a check from each company. However, mystery shopping is paid fun for those who love to shop. But if you don't like shopping, you could take a friend along that love to shop and share a great moment together. In fact, you could give the merchandise you bought to her as an appreciation. Which ever way you look at mystery shopping it is definitely a great way to boost your income and have a good time.

The Importance of Building a Professional Web Site

There are various requirements in building a professional web site. The best part of building a web site is that everything you need is available for free in the inteet. There is no need for any huge amount of money to spend on expensive software packages and programming manuals. Plus, there are loads of simple tutorials to guide and assist novice web designers. Nevertheless, some basic knowledge are required like computer skills, access to a personal computer, inteet access, a free HTML editor which is an important web page construction tool and of course a place on the inteet to publish the web site. Building a professional web site offer countless benefits provided of course that goals are set and are clearly defined. The goals set would be the focus of the content as well as the design of the web site. More and more people are building personal web sites to promote business, social, cultural and other objectives which they deem is significant not only to themselves but also to others. Skills and knowledge of web page development can help and assist in developing careers and business. Most of the businesses today have taken part of their operation online not only to provide their business with additional exposure but also to share corporate information with other businesses. The used of the inteet in communication has become a valuable tool for most business owners as well as entrepreneurs. Building a professional web site is also a way of generating additional income. This additional income is the result of publishing interesting pages that entice a large number of visitors to purchase goods or services or even buy an advertising space on the web site. Nonetheless, it seems that some web owners have not really fully comprehend the benefits that may be derived from building a professional web site since there are a huge number of poorly designed web sites which just seems to congest the inteet with meaningless information that does not contain any clear objectives. Building a professional web site is very important in providing a business with a good image. Knowing exactly the purpose and the objective of the web site will enable visitors to appreciate the web site. Mood is also an important factor to be considered in building a professional web site. The mood depends on the theme of the web site and should be maintained all throughout the site. Textual content is also a part in building a professional web site. The content of the web site must be able to add value and should provide visitors with relevant information to entice them to visit again the site. The contents are also written based on the objectives of the web site. Likewise, never forget to double check the spelling as well as the grammar since there are no rooms for flaws in building a professional web site. Creating contents for a professional web site is very much different from writing for example for a newspaper. The difference lies on the application of multimedia capabilities. Graphics, music, video and photos may also be included on the web site to make it even more interesting. However it is important not to overdo it or else the web site will no longer be effective in retaining the interest of visitors. Aside from that, using too much graphics may slows down the downloading time and when this happens web visitors are likely to leave and never to retu again.

Rumor Has it You re a Tease You Must be a Highly Effective Event Marketer

Sunday, June 21, 2009

A fact about human nature: gratification is so much more intense after you've been made to want something for a long time.

This is something you need to remember as you roll out your "event marketing" campaign to your list of subscribers and participants.

They don't know it, but your listeners want you to tease them. They like it when you dangle the carrot, press their hot buttons and walk away. It makes them respond, and it makes them want what you have.

For this reason, it's worth "pacing out" your event marketing email drip campaign and schedule of "events leading up to the event."

Event marketing can get pretty crazy. You have a lot to do, and little time to do it. I know, because I'm currently coordinating the first annual Web Content Awareness Day, which you can read all about and bookmark for our big launch on Feb 9, right here: http://WebContentAwarenessDay.com

You don't think you'd like to create an event? Well, maybe you wouldn't, but maybe you would if you knew what the event was. Planning an "event" can inject new life to your sagging, lagging online network. It can make you a little bigger in your niche. It can even make you something of a celebrity, if you think you can hack "high profile."

You can design your event to be as big or small as you like. Create a "Buy Me a Drink" website like John Delavera's at http://buymeadrink.com, and ea a few dollars for your efforts while making people laugh and smile. Throw a virtual Halloween bash and have your colleagues send hilarious costume pics, maybe hold a "guess the marketer" masquerade online. You can do anything you'd like, as long as your ultimate goal is to endear your audience to you, build better business relationships and expand your connections.

But as I said, the trick is to be something of a tease. If you're always in everyone's face all the time, your readers will grow weary of you. A well-planned event will include 'milemarkers' as you edge closer to the big reveal, the grand finale website launch, contest results or whatever it may be. At milemarker three, maybe you hit your audience with a mini blog-launch. The response is overwhelming, everyone's thrilled! But milemarker six, "Take this Survey," is not received so heartily.

What happened? Did you overstimulate? That can easily happen, you know. If you fail to pace out your marketing, leaving adequate time to be missed and sought after, your audience will grow immune and you'll lose your effectiveness. So DO pace it out, change it up, toss in a surprise or two, and let yourself be missed.

Event marketing isn't necessarily the way to go for you. If you think that "rallying up the group" is something that you can pull off, then start with a small project and include a crop of close-knit colleagues who will lift their megaphones and sound you off in celebratory style. Test the water; if it's not as massive of a production as you'd envisioned, that's okay, it was your first time after all. :)

Just know that if you're going to pull people along with you in your online event endeavors, then you should probably tweak your teasing and coaxing skills. Think back to high school. You big flirt, you.

Want to witness event planning live in action? Please join me and my marketing friends for the First Annual Web Content Awareness Day, scheduled to launch on February 9, 2006 at http://WebContentAwarenessDay.com.

Three Reasons Why are You Failing Online

Upset with your online sales? Tired of looking for reasons why you continuously fail with your online business no matter what you do? Then, it is time for you to do some shaking. You have to loosen up in order to realize that in spite of the many efforts that you have tried, there are only three reasons why you are not making any sales online. If you are not making any sales as you have wished it to be, in spite of the many hocus-pocus techniques you have tried, it is almost certainly down to three reasons only: not enough traffic, wrong type of traffic, no customers just visitors. What do these three reasons mean? Well, first let me tell you that having a business online is not the same as what you have offline. Even if both involve money or financial matters, they are entirely different from each other. With online business, you do not need the usual type of marketing strategies being applied by the typical business. What matters most in online business is the kind of traffic your web site should use in order to entice people to visit your website and buy your product. Do you think it is that simple? Guess again. There are many ways on how to derive traffic to your website but the probability of succeeding is left to nothing if you have employed the wrong kind. Therefore, for people who wish to know more why they are failing, or why it is important to employ the right kind of traffic in a web site, here are some pointers that you need to know: 1. If you are not getting adequate traffic in your web site, then it only means one thing: no visitors. And, if you do not have any visitors on your site, then, there would be no sales. 2. If you are targeting for the wrong traffic, the results will be the same. The notion no visitors means no sales does not necessarily mean that you have to have any kind of visitors in order to have sales. Indeed, sales are derived from your visitors but getting the wrong ones is just the same problem. Hence, it is important to have the right target market. 3. However, having visitors, even if it is the right target market will not immediately be converted into sales if you do not know how to tu them into customers. There are instances that you may have many visitors but as soon as they have reached your site, they no longer feel the need to buy your product. So, what do these three problems mean? It means that you are employing the wrong marketing strategies; hence, you are failing online. The problem with most people who have online business is that they just immediately start their venture without considering the different factors that will contribute to their sales performance. So, for people who wish to change their status online, here are some tips that can help you through: 1. Convert your visitors into customers. You can do this by encouraging impulse purchases on your visitors. Create a buy now phenomenon by placing relevant articles on your site, timing it right, make the registration relatively easy, give some discounts or freebies, and create an atmosphere that would tell them what they are missing if they will not buy your product now! It is a simple fact. What you need on your site are customers and just visitors, so it would be better that whoever enters your site would really buy your product. 2. Always go for the major and well-known directories and search engines. The important thing is people should know your business do exist and that they will benefit a lot form your business. It is just a matter of getting public attention. Even if you have the best product in the world but nobody is aware of it, then, everything will just be put to waste. 3. Create a highly targeted mailing list or opt-in list These mailing lists will definitely be a big help. Of course, you wouldnt want your customers to be one-time buyers only, right? So, that means you have to keep them posted of your business and keep them on the hook. In this way, there will be higher probabilities that they will keep coming back to you, especially if they were satisfied with your product. Indeed, there are no justifiable reasons to fail online because there are many ways to succeed. You just need a little more education and techniques that will truly help you achieve your targeted sales.

The Era of Internet Advertising in the Market

Saturday, June 20, 2009

The Inteet is an interactive and versatile platform and offers rich consumer usage data. Inteet users consider inteet advertising to be the most relevant ad format. The inteet evolved as a medium for marketing and advertising since 1994. >From then, it has evolved into so many phases with its own record highs and lows. Online inteet businesses are now at a record high with different niches catering to any needs. While the competition is now scorching, people are looking and devising ways to edge out the competition. And just like any business, advertising is a must and a growing industry. The inteet is different from the usual advertising media in many aspects. First it serves not only as a communication channel but also a distribution and transaction channel. Clients can make purchases and payments through inteet. They can also get lots of information. The world of Inteet Advertising is quite new, complex and often difficult to comprehend. Inteet advertising is the most important component to make your web site effective. Advertisers can improve their ad target ability to achieve better results. No other medium can carry out these marketing functions right away without resorting to other means. Second, inteet by nature is interactive. Users can easily shop just by visiting a web site and by clicking the hyper-linked for added information. It is a two-way communication, with the inteet serving as a provider of customized content that meets an individual's needs. Third, inteet has the capacity for multimedia substance. It can carry not just text and graphics but also audio and video content. The multimedia environment of the inteet is appropriate for high-impact advertising. The inteet become an integral part of the media mix for many advertisers, and new types of advertising have filled the world wide web landscape including animated banner ads, sponsor logos, interstitials, advertorials, advertainment and 3-D visualization.

Internet Anonymity Concerns Hiding Your IP Address

Friday, June 19, 2009

In today's world of globalization and wide spread of computers, Inteet has become increasingly popular way for communication, for expressing yourself, for sharing your mind with everybody. Popular types of resources include web blogs, instant messaging, chats, forums and many others. Just a few clicks and everybody in the world knows about your point of view on politics, culture, science, relationships, whatever, since quickly evolving technologies bring Inteet to millions of people around the world.

But no good comes without bad. The worst thing to consider about many mode technologies such as Inteet is a complete lack of privacy. Sitting at the front of your computer screen and surfing the net you are being watched constantly, by many people and organizations, interested or not. How is it possible? Let's see.

Inteet is based on IP - Inteet Protocol - special network protocol designed at the beginning of 70s for U.S. defense purposes, but has become widely used solution today (take a look at Inteet History for more information). Basically, most today's computers are connected by IP, and its extension, TCP/IP. We will not dive into details of TCP/IP here, but rather give a short explanation and point to major privacy conces. Main idea of IP protocol is a set of independent nodes (computers) connected somehow between themselves, each node has unique identifier assigned to it, and special rules exists which help computers exchange data with each other through intermediate computers, called "IP routers". The unique identifier is called IP address, and every networked computer must have it in order communicate to others. To view your current IP address, run "ipconfig" from command line under Windows, or open web site like www.netconceal.com or www.showmyip.com.

Ok, but what's wrong with my IP address? Like a regular address (e.g. your postal address), IP address identifies your location, no matter how you are connected to the Inteet. For example, DSL connection from your home is managed by ISP (remember, you have to sign agreement with ISP, and your actual and billing addresses are there). Wireless connections, such as GPRS or WiFi are being tracked as well (GPRS stations are able to determine your position with a mile precision, WiFi are even more location-bound), and service providers always register and identify you as a subscriber. Try web sites like www.ip2location.com to see this in practice (the information is not exactly precise in all cases, but remember, technology improves daily!).

Every time you surf the Inteet, your IP address is publicly visible to everyone on target network resources, therefore, your actual location and even name and age can be tracked as well. Of course, this costs something (they need to contact web site owner or hosting provider, and ISP or WiFi access point owner), but interested parties can implement this fairly easy. This is very serious point to consider. For example, you submit blog article, and express your opinion about politics, criticize something or make really controversial statements. That's was just an opinion, relax, everybody. But someone, being, for example, a religious fanatic or simply paranoid, can find you and shoot you right at your home. What's the hell, why? That's true, simply because he knows EVERYTHING about you, your IP address, and thus your name and physical location, since all web sites keep logs of IP addresses accessing them (once you submit your post, web site records a number of entries in its log file, putting together your post and your IP address).

Just for demonstration, 4 simple steps to know everything about specific person: 1. Retrieve web site logs (not a problem for site owners, they already have them). How can these logs be retrieved by anyone? Simply by contacting web site owner, and many of them will give theirs logs away with easyness, don't worry. Just send e-mail using published contact information (click link like "Contact Us"), write words like: "Some guy who is using your site is suspected in credit card fraud, he has stolen my money already!", or "The person with nickname 'blackjack' from your site is promoting child po, we need your web site logs for investigation, thank you." and 99% - you'll receive desired logs. 2. Analyze logs. For example, get timestamp of specific blog post and search for records matching this timestamp, then compare URLs of web site request and extract IP address from log entries. 3. Obtain IP address owner (the Inteet Service Provider, ISP). Use www.ip2location.com, it displays ISP. For well-known ISPs like Verizon - you're almost done. Otherwise try looking it up in Google and find their web site. Half an hour and you'll surely find it. 4. Contact ISP, supply IP address, and say something like you did in step (1), and they'll easily reveal user of their IP address, because they don't want problems with that user. That's it.

Is there any way to protect you against this? Relax, really good solution exist and the rest of this article will point you right there.

Basic idea of all privacy solutions is faking of your real IP address. How is it accomplished? Solution is based on intermediary computers, which are placed between you (the person who wishes to hide himself from everyone) and target web sites (and other network resources - such as instant messaging, file sharing etc). Those computers are called 'Proxy Servers'. How does Proxy Server work? Very simple: it's just like a very simple tunnel between you and web site, all data sent by you to web site or received by you from web site are passed through proxy server as is, using special SOCKS protocol (don't mess with foot socks, it's just a coincidence :). What's the difference? Exactly, target web site sees Proxy Server IP address, but not your real IP. And web site logs keep Proxy Server IP but not your real one as well. Sound great, but how to use this?

Anonymous Proxy Server lists are published throughout the web on special web sites, for example www.proxyblind.org. Actually, proxy server list looks like a simple sequence of IP address : port number pairs, for example: 123.43.12.96 : 1080 98.15.13.17 : 1080 150.19.87.31 : 1080

Choosing proper Proxy Server from such lists can be a tedious task, some of them may be valid, and some are not. You just test them one by one, select valid ones and save them for further usage. This work must be repeated each time you want to use proxy, since Proxy Servers get closed very often. After choosing proper Proxy Server, you have to connect your application (web browser, instant messenger, whatever) to it and work. Try configuring your application for use with proxy server. For example, MSN, Yahoo! and ICQ support SOCKS proxies, but some programs do not. Microsoft Inteet Explorer and Firefox web browsers also support this, but you must select another kind of Proxy Server - HTTP proxy (in opposite to SOCKS proxy).

Special software was developed to address the issues listed above - NetConceal Anonymizer, it keeps you free from manual proxy server checking, SOCKS configuration and supports ALL applications. Actually, a few clicks to hide IP address and become anonymous.

Download NetConceal Anonymizer now and try it. Once the installation is done, NetConceal Anonymizer is started automatically, now click the 'Launch Web Browser' or 'Launch Other...' buttons. Proxy selection is done within a minute, then application is started and you can use the Inteet fully anonymous, since your real IP is invisible to everyone. Too good to be true? Please try it before criticizing.

To lea more about NetConceal Anonymizer software, check out the www.netconceal.com web site and contact us if you need more help, we are really glad to help you with evaluation and ongoing usage.

What Is FTP And How It Works

FTP is a method to manage files over the Inteet or a network: meet the File Transfer Protocol!

People are generally using the FTP for transfering the files uploaded on their web hosting server. We already talking about files... trasfer, and most important... protocols.

A protocol is a method which informs your computer about the connection to a server or client (in a nut shell, tells the browser how to get the file, how to read the informations about it, etc).

The FTP is a common process used in file trasfers from one computer to another: one computer is the server and the other one is being called - the client (because it connects to the server).

A server is uploading when sending files, and the client is downloading them. These are commonly used terms and I believe you have heard about them before.

To access a FTP server you need an inteet or network connection, a FTP address, a useame and a password.

The FTP address of the server is the main thing you must know before accessing a server. Here is an example: a friend of mine put some files on his computer and gave me the adress which looks like this: ftp.myfriendsdomain.com

To access this address, i can use my browser (e.g. Firefox, Inteet Explorer, etc), or a FTP Client (a software for connecting to FTP servers).

It's possible the server to be password protected, or I will connect anonymously using my email address as a password.

Connecting anonymously?

That's right! If the server is granting acess to everybody, you will connect anonymously - using anonymous word as useame and your email address as password. But this happens only when you are allowed to connect anonymously.

In many cases privacy is king. For this reason, the anonymous connection mode is disabled. You will need a useame and password to establish a connection to that server. The method is used for protecting different areas on the server.

Clients and browsers?

There is a big difference from connecting to a FTP server using a browser or a client. In most cases the browser will allow to connect and download files from a server.

On the other hand, if you are using a FTP client you can: download, upload, delete files, etc.

FTP vs. HTTP

Accessing a server using the HTTP (Hyper Text Trasfer Protocol) is commonly used for websites. If you will access www.cnn.com with your browser, you got yourself a quick HTTP connection.

Let me show you two major differences between FTP and HTTP:

1) When connecting to a FTP server you are using a FILE server (that means you can't see anything but files there), but if you connect to a HTTP server you access a WEB server, which means you can load web pages into a browser.

2) Using a FTP connection you can download and upload files to the server, but when you use the HTTP connection you can only download content from the Inteet for viewing, is a "read only" method.

Another thing you can do with the FTP method is to change mode of the files. Why? Because you might use certain files that need different permissions.

For example I have a small web application which stores your name and email address inside a file on the server. If that file is write protected, I can't store any information. I need to change it's writing permission. This step is also called chmod-ing a file.

What is CHMOD?

The chmod command is used to change permissions of a file using the File Trasfer Protocol.

After you've uploaded something on a server you might want to set up the file permissions. For example: the owner can change the file's content, but any visitor comming here can only read it.

This is done using 3 simple commands: write, read, execute.

Every command can be assigned (in the same time or dispersed) for owner, groups and anyone else.

Sometimes the chmod commands are hard to use and understand, but now it's easier, thanks to the three digit numbers!

Here are the most used commands for chmod-ing a file:

CHMOD 644 The file can be read by: owner, groups and everyone else, but can't be changed, or executed but other people excepting the owner.

CHMOD 700 The file can be read, written and excuted by the owner (user). The groups and everyone else can't read, write or execute it.

CHMOD 755 The owner, the group and everyone else can read and execute the file, but only the owner can write it. (this is a very common option for chmoding a file because allows the execution of a file - it's valuable for web applications).

CHMOD 777 Full access to everyone for reading, executing or writing the data.

Fact: FTP is used mostly for uploading files to a web hosting server! Webmasters are using this procedure to put websites online for their visitors.

What is a Press Release

A respectable company interested in publicity and active social life is obliged to have public relations department. Every product needs to be advertised and every service needs to be informed about. This is what advertising agencies are for. But publicity is also a way to advertise and PR agents in Hollywood know it perfectly well. Of course, nobody is talking about details of private life or accidental cases that have nothing to do with morality. The public should know latest news from the company whose services they are going to use. If there is information that can draw attention and both promote, why not to give it to the public. Information about corporate news or event is called a press release, a news release or a press statement. A standard press release is a short sequence written and forwarded to representatives of the news media to announce something that is of a news value. Press releases are sent to editors of magazines, on the radio or television and online. The purpose is to inform about an event or a conference and draw attention of mass media to it. Companies providing seo copywriting services use press releases to increase the ranking of the client in the search engines. It only may seem easy to cre ate press release, but it also has its system, standards, format and principles just like any written kind of creation. Here are some useful tips on how to write a press release. It is absolutely necessary to be sure that news you want to present is newsworthy. If the reason you sat down to write a release is not very attention drawing, wait until you have more information and details on the topic. Make sure that your release is laconic and brief. There is no need to describe all the details in the release itself, wait till due to the effort of joualists people will be interested in your event and then you'll have an opportunity to tell about it in person. Make your press release sound simple, no need to use excessive adjectives and fancy language. Think about people's attitude towards what are you going to inform about and use only strong sides of the event. First 5-10 words of the release are very important and exactly they are responsible for the first impression from the release. They have to get reader interested in what is going to happen further. Structure it right: give a short sequence of the news and only then define who was the initiator or the person of address. Make this press release work for you. Some positive information about a company simply called promotion will be helpful in further job of joualists. As you see a press release is a powerful marketing tool that builds credibility. THE SECRET TO TURNKEY INTERNET BUSINESS SUCCESS

Wednesday, June 17, 2009

The Inteet has made it possible for us to bring our products and services to so many people. Ten years ago, business opportunities are introduced and handled only through word of mouth, what is considered as the most powerful form of advertising. Today, we can bring our prospective clients on-the-spot audio and video presentations as well as full explanations of our business programs. With online ordering, customers can simply shop at their very own online stores. And these are all made possible by thousands of Tukey Inteet businesses available online. A Tukey refers to a system that is equipped with everything that is needed for it to function; ready to be put into immediate use. Similar to the ignition of an automobile, the user only tus a key to start using the product. All the business tools, research, and design is supplied, installed, and usually managed by one vendor. With the numerous tukey business opportunities existing today (along with the new ones surfacing every day), careful attention should be given on deciding which one is right for you. One of the secrets of a successful tukey Inteet business is to have a complete range of services that are all based on the idea to have an online business up and running fast and easy. Some of these features are: Hosting package deals (usually in years) Free Domain name Business ideas and concepts Software Designs by Professional designing groups Business consultations Client only private forums Marketing packages and Support Resell Rights on Software Resell Rights on E-books Resell Rights on Scripts Professional Website Templates Large Profit Affiliate Programs Business Plans and Information Guides Private Reseller Membership area Web Hosting Aside from the system being complete, it should also be automated; that is, the business virtually runs in itself. For Store-type sites, for example, the shopping cart should be able to track the users shopping session. Likewise, the system should also allow for multiple forms of payment (such as credit/debit cards, eGold, eCheck, or Paypal). A good tukey Inteet business should also be able to cater to all levels of business owners: the e-commerce beginners and advanced users alike. Moreover, to succeed with the Tukey business opportunity of your choice, you may want to make use of a powerful, risk-free marketing tool called Affiliate Programs. Here, other companies are in charge of holding the inventory and taking orders from customers; you just focus on the marketing and nothing else. There are many advantages of conducting advertising and promotion (especially "how-to" information) on the Inteet. Some of them are listed below: This form of business has very low start-up costs. You can reproduce your products at no costs. Some products, especially software packages, offer no shipping costs on the part of the customers, as they are downloadable. There is no need to maintain inventory just one copy of the product will do! You can do the operations of the business at your own pace (be it full-time or part-time). You can manage the business anywhere (at the office, even at your own home). It offers high profits at low risks. The three fundamentals of affiliate sales and marketing program are the following: The number of visitors. Automated systems that are filled with sales messages promoting your links have the aim to pull people towards you, as opposed to other strategies that push the products or services to people. The key is to create appealing headlines and effective testimonials that catch the attention of people and force them to pay attention. >From visitors to customers. Offer products that are easy to sell and that people are buying. You may want to ask possible customers if they would buy a particular product, and how much they are willing to pay for it. A strong follow-up system. One sale most likely leads to another. A strong follow-up system could allow you to generate repeat business, with each product creating a desire for more. While it is true that the Tukey Inteet business could make you thousands of dollars a month with your computer, it still is not the way to make much money. The secret to a successful enterprise is to build a business that not only fits your budget and your marketing area, but also based on your skills, personal preferences, and interests.

Internet Time Management

The Inteet is taking over man's normal way of living, so therefore when we consider time management, we must also consider the World Wide Web. It used to be to manage time; we had to consider family, friends, work, and ourselves. Now we have to consider emails, websites, advertising, marketing, and other key factors that are including in businesses today. At one time in our lives, we went to work for eight hours and retued home. Now we go to work and it is never determined what our workload will include. Time management is critical for saving us from headaches, heartaches, and other types of pressures. When we manage our time accordingly, we seem to function well in society and at home. The flood of data that passes us each day via the Inteet has changed the entire outlook of time management in the last few decades. When we go to work, we often have to sift through a pile of emails, sorting to find out which ones matter the most. Sometimes we may stumble upon emails that surprises or interest us. This is not good! Time management means to spend your time wisely, and if you are sitting around reading an interesting email, where is your time going? The fact is most advertising are slicks that draw us into a world of fantasy. We often stare into the hands of something that lures us deeper into its web, and if we decide to act on the slick, we often find ourselves regretting the stupidity of acting. Don't find yourself saying, "I regret this action." Rather find yourself saying, "Da it was a wonderful day." Life is way too short to waste precious time. When you are drawn away by flaky advertisings, your time is consumed, and your job, family, friends, and you suffer. Surfing the web is another source that can take our time and toss it out the door. When we are surfing the web, many interesting topics may confront us. Or, sometimes we see pop-ups that distract us from our intentional goal. Pop-ups for the most part are consistent fakes that interest the human eye, in an effort to distract us from the real world. The interesting topics on the Inteet can benefit us in many ways, but if we are at work, our main focus should be work. Once we finish our job, and other tasks are not scheduled on our list, then we can browse the World Wide Net with freedom. We can also consider the chat room. Some companies make available chat rooms for their employees. This is good if you are using the program for work, but many of us are caught up in a game of cat and mouse. The chat rooms are so appealing at times, that it makes us want to stay on for hours. Chatting is a source of communication, which is good, but if the time you are spending in the chat room is not making progress, what is your purpose? To obtain sufficient time management, you need to avoid the areas that consume, and focus on the areas that make you zoom.

Social software Check out Google Map mash ups

Tuesday, June 16, 2009

I asked a colleague from work today if he had any news about new Inteet phenomena that would be cool to check out. He told me about the concept of social software. Social software is where someone takes an existing computer program and combines it with another idea to make it more personalized for people. A perfect example of this comes in the form of a new craze taking over the world: Google Map mash-ups. http://maps.google.com/ is already a cool site that has taken a personalized approach to many different ways of helping people. For example, I typed in 'Pizza restaurants' into the finder with the name of the town my father lives in near Atlanta, Georgia, USA and it showed me exactly where all the pizzas were, the names of the restaurants, and contact details (if I wished to place an order over the phone). Pretty cool. This is only the tip of the iceberg. Other people around the world have taken the Google Map software and combined it with their personal interests to create a whole array of exciting maps filled with photos and information. The ultimate site to check some out is http://googlemapsmania.blogspot.com/. Let me give you an idea of what people are doing out there on the Inteet to make the world a more informed place. I'm planning on going to live in Japan pretty soon. Well at http://www.bento.com/tokyofood.html I could find a map of the Kansai region (where I will probably live) which showed me exactly where all the vegetarian restaurants are, the type of cultural food each was (E.g.: Sri Lankan), a photo of the establishment, as well as all the relevant information-including reviews. You can tell I'm a connoisseur, or at least I attempt to be one. Let's go elsewhere. The http://googlemapsmania.blogspot.com/ site has map categories like current events, transportation, weather, wireless and mobile, housing and real estate, business, stats and demographics, employment, recreation and fitness, events and sport, travel and tourism, and even maps of crime and sex offenders-that's a little weird for me, but some people obviously are keen to keep their families safe at all costs. There is also Google map games that people have created, and you can download tools to create a map of your own. At http://www.pintsearch.com/ you can see a map with some pictures of the best pubs in London. Under current events, and you know how 'positive' current events are, at http://www.futurecrisis.com/places/view.php you can see a map with all of the places where avian flu outbreaks have occurred. At http://www.housingmaps.com/ you can look at a map of the USA and click on houses for sale in a city you'd like to go to. You get the house's address, cost, and many of them have photos as well. There's a lot of this kind of thing in America, but the craze is spreading to other countries too. http://www.mackers.com/projects/dartmaps/ is a site that shows you all of the trains in Dublin, Ireland, their destination, and where they are on their route (in approximate real-time). http://www.thestar.com/static/googlemaps/gtatraffic.html?xml=traf ficcams.xml is a site link that takes you to a map where you can click on hundreds of traffic cameras around Toronto, Canada to actually see real photos of current traffic conditions in a specific area. http://www.freefoto.com/ is a cool site to see and download professional photos taken in different locations around the world. I had a quick look at the game called http://www.googleearthing.com/ where you are asked to find certain images around our whole planet. It doesn't look easy! The list of links related to this single new form of social software on http://googlemapsmania.blogspot.com/ is very impressive. I'm interested in finding out about other forms of combined software that could help humanity in a social context. My friend mentioned that he'd read an article about a proposed travel site that would rate the relevance of user's comments in relation to your own personal statistics. For example, if your are a 20 year old male, a 60 year old woman's remarks about a hotel will be rated as of less importance compared with another person who falls into a similar social category to yourself. This is an interesting and exciting craze. I can see clearly how these specific idea-based maps will be able to help humanity in so many ways. However, all things in life are balanced so we do have to draw a line sometimes. Another friend at work told me a story about an angry mob that stood waiting outside a house that an Inteet sex offenders' site informed them of a predator in their local neighborhood. The thing is the site hadn't been updated when the ex-convict had moved from the house, so an innocent person had their house picketed for something that was totally unrelated to them. On the positive side of the coin, I do think that the possible future innovations even in this one area of Inteet-mapping could in itself have awesome results for human society.
